Tip of the Month: Sponsor Boxes 

     Did you know you can buy a box similar to google adwords on BrowseHosts.com ?

Note that you can only put one keyword or key phrase into the field on the form labelled "Search Keyword:" The current price for a box is $25 for 30 days. Advertising Woes : Text Ads vs. Banners 

     Hosts often wonder which is better, to advertise using flashy large banners, or to use text ads which don't scream out "we are the best, no. 1est, awesomest host in the world!!!". Out of our research, we have found that amazingly text ads such as "cheap web hosting" or "$5/ month host" end up having the highest conversion rates. This could be because people don't want to feel like they are being scammed, and when you read that the "best host" is only charging $1.95/month you get skeptical, but if they just advertised "cheap web host" the site visitor thinks it is an unbiased ad. Another possible explanation for this is that traditionally links on sites led to either related sites, or other pages on the site, while on the other hand banners just look like someone is trying to get your attention really hard and is paying for it. It looks more credible when the link is just placed there, not shouting to be clicked.
